My Quest has been totally, successfully accomplished - and Janet and I are sharing a glorious path of our own Happily Here & Now on our way to our shared version of Happily Ever After. Although my Quest was wonderfully successful and is now over, I have left many of these pages that refer to my own search unchanged so that readers can better understand how I used The Method. Hence, many pages purposely have not been updated to show my success! My most sincere hope is that this old site will help give you insights on how best to EFFICIENTLY find your own Hero or Heroine! The first 8 of them have been so popular, I've added ten more Sneaky Relationship Dragons to the list. General Updates Continue This Domain is undergoing it first major renovation in four years. Some main trails and side paths are undergoing brand new construction while others are simple cosmetic repairs. Those paths undergoing major new construction may still be temporarily closed. This Domain started, once upon a time, as a single page and a single picture with my own Quest as its sole goal. The site has grown haphazardly to over 350 separate web pages and some readers are getting lost in the bushes. These new pages will have much better navigation with much better organization of thought and purpose - with it primary goal of helping others find their own Hero or Heroine. Robert’s Typical Day – Five Years from Today(Actually, hopefully, a LOT sooner!) Your Future - Our Future?I am a very big believer in visualizing exactly what you want as a huge motivator and direction finder for the future. Can you answer these 70 questions about the future...about the typical day in YOUR life, five years from right now? My AnswersMy goal is to have what many dream of: a place in the mountains and a place on the beach. In my case, I envision that a lot of the time will be in the mountains with my lover. A typical day I envision is waking up next to my lover in our mountaintop
home in the Smoky Our mutual schedules, deadlines and plans dictate how soon and at what time we finally get out of bed but generally we wake up about 7 AM and get out of bed closer to 8 AM. We both share the morning breakfast duties just like we both share all the other housework and other duties and chores around our special mountaintop castle in the sky. We watch the latest news on CNN and CNBC as we have breakfast and discuss our individual goals and action items for the day. The house is a 2 or 3 bedroom, plus large office and large living/den with an
open plan, 22' ceilings, fireplaces in both the living room and the bedroom,
with about 2,500 to 3,500 sq. ft. It is a
Lindal-type cedar home with
lots of wood and glass and high ceilings with
We both have arranged our careers and interests so that we both work from home using the Internet as our access point to the world via high speed access. Our office is a large shared room on one wing of the house so, as we each pursue our day and individual interests, we are constantly within touching, kissing and nibbling range. We each set our own schedules but make time several times during the week to
hike the trails of the Smokies sharing the incredible beauty that nature has to
offer while keeping us both fit and healthy. We seem to find our way to the hot
tub on the redwood deck several times a day….almost always ending each day in
the hot tub right before bedtime…and as a way for us to start our shared nightly
intimacy. My business will be very similar to what it is today: management consulting to small and start up companies with most of my work being done via the Internet and requiring very little business travel…and giving me the time and geographic independence that is important to me…allowing me to work as needed from either our mountain home or our beach home…or even during our extended travels....time shifting the work to give US and our relationship the daily priority it should have. We will have a gym equipment set up either in our large office or in one of the spare bedrooms …equipment that will actually be used by both of us on a very frequent basis. In the driveway, we have two vehicles, maybe three….one is a convertible, one is a four wheel drive Jeep Wrangler type so we are sure to be able to drive through whatever mountain snows may try to isolate us when, on those rare occasions, we don’t want to be.
We have a guest room, maybe two, depending on our budget. Maybe, we would even have a detached guest house so you and I could continue our cavorting that we both cherish. Besides this main house in the mountains, we also have a small two bedroom
ocean-front condo. While something in the Caribbean would be
nice with it crystal clear water, we probably choose something closer like where
I now live in Clearwater Beach, Florida. Our lifestyle and our sharing and savoring our lives and times together is much more important to us both than making money. However, we keep our living costs low so money and possessions don't dominate our lives. We have managed to virtually pay cash for the homes and all cash for all vehicles so we have very little debt. This way we can constantly add to savings and to our budget to travel all over the world and to travel to see friends and family. We would probably go to bed around 10 PM for an hour or two of intimate quality time before sleep. This would be time when we would talk about us and what we have shared and what we next want to share together…time for making love….time for just us…time that we both protect and value and do all we can from allowing the rest of the world to ever interfere with. These will be the usual, mundane, day in day out parts of our lives. We will both do all we can to add constant punctuation points of joy and pleasure as often as we can on a weekly and monthly basis.
She will no doubt have her own ideas about all of what is ideal for our shared lives. The real and pivotal question is whether she and I share the same very close vision. If her needs are to have a brownstone in Manhattan and her idea of hiking is how many blocks to Fifth Ave., then my guess is that she and I will have a whole minefield of differences to navigate which makes the relationship’s success highly improbable. But one of the real punctuations of life would be our travel…simple, fun travel every 3 months or so to visit family and friends and see places around the States and Caribbean….with a big trip maybe once a year that would last 2 or 3 weeks…..things like frolicking in Fiji, hiking the yak trails of Nepal to Katmandu, diving the reefs of Belize, white water rafting in Costa Rica, romantic dinners in Paris, touring Europe by train, clubbing a mile high more than once…..well, those are the ones that come to my mind. Even with all the travel, my guess is that we would have friends and family galore visiting us all the time at our mountaintop paradise. We would both very much enjoy the visits and entertaining guests and having parties. When we didn’t have guests, I would expect us to go out on the town at least a couple of times a month…for romantic dinners, dirty dancing, lots of displayed public affection… But above all else, our daily joy would come from our sharing time, our lives, together….every day and every night....savoring our total contentment, serenity and happiness in the life we are creating together.
